Aroe
Aroe Ajoeni is a university student who actively speaks about the climate crisis in Malaysia. Now, she is one of the young people in Klima Action Malaysia (KAMY) who builds capacity of other youth to fight the climate crisis. For Aroe, the climate crisis is not just a youth issue, but a health and socio-economic issue of the people. As KAMY's technical officer and head of the research team, she focuses on the production of visual content to provide a platform for marginal communities such as the indigenous people; in the formation of a people-based discourse of the climate, which is often underestimated by many.


Jamea
Jamea Magallanes is a 16-year-old Filipina student studying in Philippine Science High School. She is currently the Partnerships Manager of the Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines for this year’s Asia Climate Rally. As a science student, she believes that the developments in science and technology must be used to achieve climate recovery. Pushing for advanced disposal facilities for healthcare is also one of her advocacies as she hopes to become a surgeon in the future.


Airish
Airish Bandola is a 19-year-old from the Philippines. She is a STEM 12 student from the University of Batangas and currently the Manpower Manager of Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines for this year’s Asia Climate Rally. She wants to spread awareness on environmental sustainability and about the importance of implementing measures to avert climate breakdown. Airish believes that, together, as one, we’ll be able to fight climate injustice.


Marifel
Marifel Balbarona is an 18-year-old Filipino student studying at Philippine Science High School. She is the content co-director of Youth Advocates for Climate Action for this year’s Asia Climate Rally. Dedicated in upholding environmental wellness and sustainability, she actively engages in various campaigns, community programs, and other related initiatives both in her locality and beyond. She plans to pursue a career in forestry to utilize her knowledge and passion towards the preservation and restoration of the country's forest cover as well as the protection of the various species of flora and fauna that reside therein.


Sowmya
Sowmya Iyer is a final year Aerospace Engineering student at Nanyang Technological University. She enjoys baking and cooking vegetarian food and recently she has also been experimenting with vegan alternatives to move towards a fully plant-based lifestyle. She is passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability efforts and she hopes to play her part in making Singapore a more sustainable home for the future.


Dayeon
Dayeon Kang is a student at the University of Seoul in the major of Urban Sociology and Philosophy, but she is recently studying politics in and outside of the university. Vegan and enjoying techno and acoustic music, she is interested in many parts of the climate movement, including policies, direct action, cultural movements and research.


Sagarika
Sagarika Bhatta is an Environment Science and Management postgraduate from Nepal. She is a climate justice advocate, researcher, academic tutor, environmental preservationist and entrepreneur. She is also the chairperson and founder of PowerShift Nepal and We Care Nepal. She has been conducting research and publishing articles, and was both a former Climate Tracker 2016 Fellow and participant in the Asia Climate Leadership Camp 2019.


Tarfa
Tarfa Siddiqui is an A level student studying at The Lyceum, Pakistan. Eager to deliver social change, she runs an NGO called “Welfare for Women” that distributes menstrual pads to underprivileged women.


Shaq Koyok
Shaq Koyok is a contemporary artist from the indigenous Temuan tribe of Selangor, Malaysia. His art is a reflection of his people and the rain forest in which he grew up and the importance of nature to the Orang Asal. In 2017, Shaq received the Merdeka Award for his outstanding work in indigeneous art. He is the first indigenous person to receive this award.


Sumarni
Sumarni Laman is an Indigenous Dayak and the Kalimantan Youth Act coordinator, a youth movement that was established as a response to 23 years of forest fire in Central Kalimantan. She has led several local climate action campaigns such as the recent tree planting & reforestation project (The Heartland Project) and the forest fire relief.


Golf
Phatchara Kamchamnarn (Golf) is a 24-year-old who is interested in human rights and community rights issues. After graduating from Bachelor of Communication Arts, he moved from Bangkok to Chiangmai to start his activist life as a human rights volunteer at Northern Development Foundation (NDF). He’s currently working as an advocacy and public communication officer for the Foundation. His team set up a charity center called Community Forest Fire Supporting Center (CFSC) and he has worked closely with People Movement for a Just Society (P-Move), a people movement demanding for equality in land tenure in Thailand.


Lynn
Nanticha Ocharoenchai (Lynn) is currently seeking ways to show the world that nature is good and people are good, mainly with storytelling through writing and filmmaking. Bored with the usual charity messages many NGOs use to create environmental awareness and action, she is experimenting with new creative forms to incorporate fun and adventure into conservation, carrying on from her climate activism. Based in Bangkok, she started Climate Strike Thailand and is SOS Earth’s Director of Storytelling.


Ajay
Ajay is a student from Singapore. He is fortunate enough to assist SG Climate Rally and the Greenwatch campaign. He hopes that Asia Climate Rally participants will build solidarity and draw strength from the event, even as we confront the challenges of our time.


Salsabila
Salsabila Khairunisa is a student from Indonesia and the co-founder of Jaga Rimba, a youth-led movement that runs in forest preservation and campaigns for the protection of local communities’ rights who are losing their homes in consequence of forest exploitation.


Afeera
Afeera Umair is a 16 year old climate activist from Karachi, Pakistan. She has been involved in climate activism for the past three years, working with Friday’s for Future Pakistan and Climate Action Pakistan.


Kanya
Kanya is a third year Indonesian student currently studying in Japan. The current injustice caused by this broken and toxic system drove her to work together with Extinction Rebellion Indonesia and Japan, demanding for the truth, climate action, and better democracy.


Sophia
Sophia Caralde is a climate activist from the Philippines. She is a law student at Ateneo De Manila University and the Manila Co-Convenor of Youth Strike 4 Climate Philippines, one of the pioneering youth-led climate organizations fueled to empower Filipino youth to act against the climate crisis and achieve climate justice.


Lance
Lance Lau is a 11-year-old climate activist from Hong Kong. He has been doing climate strikes every Friday for 58 weeks to raise awareness about rising sea-levels and animals extinction. He speaks for his generation and he hopes to inspire people to start taking climate actions at every level now.


Mahnoor
Syeda Mahnoor Raza, 19, feels strongly about climate action, social justice, politics, and literature, and enjoys exploring the intersections between these areas. She is currently a remote student at the University of Rochester, and is from Islamabad, Pakistan.


Mitzi
Mitzi Jonelle Tan is the convener and international coordinator of Youth Advocates for Climate Action Philippines or YACAP. She is also active in Fridays for Future International, advocating for climate justice and making sure that voices of Asia strikers and MAPA (most affected peoples and areas) strikers are heard, amplified, and given space. She first became an activist in 2017 after integrating with indigenous leaders of her country which pushed her to realize that system change is what we need for a just and greener society.


Disha
Disha A Ravi is the co-founder of Fridays For Future, India. She became a climate activist because her grandparents who are farmers didn’t have water supply to grow their crops and the ground water levels in the area were depleting. She believes that the rich and white men who contribute the most to the climate crisis and are least impacted by it have been deciding our fates for far too long and she wants to change that. She wants those affected to be leading climate negotiations.


Hanae
Hanae Takahashi is a Japanese-Moroccan activist who fights for climate justice. She is currently a member of Fridays for Future Japan/Tokyo and Youth For One Earth.


Kavya
Kavya Gopal is a research fellow for Regeneration, which describes the most impactful actions to be taken on every level of agency in order to reduce overall global carbon emissions by 50% within ten years, and to end the climate crisis in one generation. She is also an organiser and regenerative cultures facilitator who works with climate activists globally. She believes strongly that regeneration is the most radical work we can be doing to restore our relationships with one another and the planet.


Lucy
Lucy Lin Si Yan is from Shenzhen, China. She is a 18-year-old high school student in Shenzhen College of International Education, interested in anthropology, archeology, Chinese philosophy and ancient history. Currently, she is working with her friends on the topic of nature protection. They write articles on social media in order to raise public awareness on nature and environment.


Ameera
Ameera Adil works for the inclusion of climate education in academic curricula through her organization, clim-8.org. She is a part of Climate Action Pk, Fridays for Future Pakistan, and Youth Climate Activists Pakistan. She has a bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering and is currently pursuing a master’s in Development Studies.


Jiyun
Jiyun Gim is Co-president of GEYK (Green Environment Youth Korea). She is especially interested in intergenerational justice as a human right. She firmly believes that climate finance is the most important since we don’t have much time left to solve the climate crisis.


Kristian
Kristian-Marc James Paul is a member of SG Climate Rally and has appeared on numerous podcasts and news publications on behalf of the movement as their press representative. Apart from his work in climate activism, Kristian is also a member of gender equality advocacy group, AWARE. In his day job, Kristian works as a Diversity and Inclusion Programme Coordinator.


Carmela
Carmela Francesca Adelantar is a climate activist based in the Philippines. A second year student studying Political Science at the University of the Philippines Visayas and serves as member of National Society of Parliamentarians-Kamara PH, GoodGovPH’s Deputy secretary-general, core member of Kabataang Tagapagtanggol ng Karapatan, and Youth Strike 4 Climate Philippines. She was also a semi-finalist during the 2020 Social Science Korea Human Rights Forum-Human Asia Student Paper Competition.


Dekdi
Suryadi a.k.a. Dekdi was born in the northern Acehnese town of Padang Tiji in 1995. He represents two breakdance crews, Nanggroe Break Cypherz (Aceh) and Giller Battle Crew (Malaysia). Dekdi is currently coordinator of Acehnese hip-hop collective Hip-Hop NAD Syndicate, and is a final-year student at the Indonesian Institute of Art and Culture (ISBI) in Aceh.


Zild
Daniel Zildjian Garon Benitez (Zild) is a Filipino musician, producer, and singer-songwriter. He is currently the lead vocalist, pianist/keyboardist, synth player and bassist of IV of Spades.

Pordalab is a Filipino band, with a name derived from the Filipino slang, ‘for the love’. They sing to inspire people to love more and care more for others. They sing to encourage people to stand up for what is right and for advancing real change for the good of the many. As Pordalab’s byline goes: awiting puso, awiting bayan (songs of the heart, songs for the people).


Sam
Sam Driscoll is a singer/songwriter who first found internet fame as the "angmoh" on YouTube talking about Singaporean culture. He slowly moved from comedy to music, recording covers on YouTube and dabbling in writing original material. Sam took a leap of faith and got selected as a finalist in the NAC Noise Singapore Music Mentorship Programme in 2014, attracting the attention of many in the local music industry. He released the first 2 songs from his album in 2019. His next single, Love Kills You, was released in July of 2020 and most recently, released “Come Back Home” in September of 2020, all of which are available on all major streaming platforms.


Elwin
Elwin Lim is an environmentalist and musician. When he's not engaged in work on environmental policy and renewable energy, he enjoys playing guitar and producing beats. Find him on Instagram at @elwin.o.


Benedict
Benedict Tan is interested in regenerative food production and ocean conservation–his passion for the ocean stems from diving, childhood visits to the coast, and that one time he went surfing. A singer since 2011, his music interests range from jazz to alternative rock.
